Anxiety & Overthinking Therapy
for High-Functioning Adults
Online CBT for anxiety, licensed in New York and Florida
Is This You?
From the outside, you're managing. You hold things together, you follow through, people rely on you — it's what you do. But privately, your mind doesn't stop and you are exhausted.
You replay conversations for hours, sometimes days, looking for the moment you said the wrong thing, or how you could have said it differently.
Decisions that should be simple get stuck in an endless loop of "but what if"
You're making plans for problems that haven't happened yet, because controlling the outcome feels like your responsibility.
Being present — feels harder than it should.
You've read the books and tried to "manage stress" on your own, and you're ready for something more structured than that.
If this sounds familiar, you're exactly who I work with.
What Anxiety Looks Like in High-Functioning Adults
Anxiety in capable, high-functioning adults rarely looks like falling apart. More often it looks like:
Overthinking that passes as diligence. The extra hour spent re-reading an email. The mental rehearsal before a meeting that's already well-prepared for. Managing the family calendar, making sure everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there. All of it is anxiety dressed up as thoroughness.
Worry that hides behind competence. You handle things. You solve problems. What's harder to see from the outside is the cost of staying one step ahead of every possible outcome, all the time.
A nervous system that doesn't get the memo that it's safe to let your guard down. Even when things are objectively going well, the racing thoughts and low-grade dread don't necessarily stop.
None of this means something is wrong with you. It means your anxiety has been running the show for too long — and it's exhausting.
How I Work With Anxiety
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — a structured, evidence-based approach focused on identifying the specific thought patterns driving your anxiety and building tools that actually change how you respond to the thoughts, not just how you talk about them.
This isn't open-ended venting. Each session has a direction. Together, we'll:
Identify the specific thoughts and situations that trigger your anxiety — not just the general sense of "I'm anxious"
Learn to recognize distorted or unhelpful thinking patterns in real time
Build practical strategies you can use in the moment, not just in session
Track progress against clear, individualized goals, so change is something you can see, not just hope for
What New Clients Should Know
Therapy here is active-change focused, not purely reflective. If you're looking for a space to process out loud with occasional insight, that's a valid approach — it's just not the one I offer. I work best with clients who are ready to build and practice new tools between sessions.
I don't provide crisis intervention or treat severe or persistent mental illness. If your anxiety includes symptoms beyond what's described here, I'm happy to talk during a consultation about whether this is the right fit or help point you toward a better one.
